"Taxi Driver" was a highly controversial yet commercially successful film released in 1971. Following the life of a Vietnam Veteran fresh back from overseas, the man takes on a taxi-driving role to combat his insomnia and solitude. Along the way, he meets plenty of dangerous and exciting characters and is eventually swept along into a high-intensity rescue mission that proves his bravery.
