The Refused is a Swedish hardcore punk band formed in 1991 and remained active on and off over the years. After disbanding in 1998 after a failed US tour with the band Frodus, Refused regrouped briefly in 2012, separated again, and reformed again most recently in 2014. In a more recent project, Refused partnered with video game development company CD Projekt Red to create a soundtrack for the highly anticipated video game Cyberpunk 2077. Their unique musical influences created an instantly recognizable sound that paired alongside their energetic, edgy lyrics have made them living legends among the punk scene.
