Phil Anselmo - War of The Gargantuas

“War of The Gargantuas” was a split EP by Phil Anselmo and Warbeast. It was put out on Anselmo's label Housecore Records and was the first solo release Anselmo put out with his backing band The Illegals. The cover art and name take direct inspiration from the 1970 kaiju movie released under the same name. 

Phil Anselmo, the controversial vocalist for bands Superjoint, Down and Pantera whose impressive catalog with numerous bands, side projects and solo works helped inspire a generation of metal fans. From New Orleans, Anselmo helped but the local scene on the map and worked with many talented acts like Trent Reznor, Crowbar, Anal Cunt, Anthrax and others.
