Six weeks before the official release of Nirvana’s third and would-be final album “In Utero,” the band played a secret show in the Roseland Ballroom to tease the release. It was also the debut of the band’s new guitarist “Big” John Duncan, who was previously their guitar tech and ex-member of the punk band “The Exploited.” Chicago anarcho-punks Jesus Lizard also played the show as the opener. Nirvana played most of the new album, including single hits “Heart-Shaped Box” and “All Apologies.”
