Del Rey draws her inspiration from the old vintage and glamour era of Americana pop culture, honing her image with big retro curls and pinup-inspired makeup. Her music and lyrics focus on a type of lovestruck melancholia, of star crossed lovers doomed from the start and heartbroken damsels looking to forget.
