"Black Elvis" is one of many of Kool Keith's stage personas. In 1999 he debuted the alias through his 4th solo album, "Black Elvis/Lost in Space." It was his one and only album released under a major record label. In the first half of the album, Kool Keith uses complex rhymes about various matters from Black Elvis' point of view, and on the other half, he elaborates on space travel and being lost in space. This personality is infamous for wearing a plastic Elvis-style wig. 

Kool Keith is a chameleon-like hip-hop artist from New York City known for his surreal, abstract, and often profane or incomprehensible lyrics. He has recorded both as a solo artist and in group collaborations. Kool Keith is considered to be one of hip-hop's most eccentric and unusual personalities.
