"Necroticism" is the third album by the extreme metal band Carcass and was released in 1991. It marked the first time Carcass had recorded as a four-piece band. Many of the tracks describe economical ways to dispose of dead bodies and the lyrics include proper medical terminology. 

Carcass is an extreme metal band from Liverpool, England that was formed in 1986. They are regarded as pioneers of the goregrind genre and their early work was also tagged as "splatter death metal" and "hardgore." Although they are known for their morbid lyrics and gruesome album covers, they also often focus on animal rights issues as multiple band members are vegetarians.
